Prior to joining the ECIDA, Talia was the founder/operator of MWBE Constructors, Inc., a construction management and consulting firm specializing in the growth of Minority- and Women-owned businesses (M/WBEs). MWBE Constructors, Inc. worked on many projects around Western New York, including Popeyes Restaurant Franchise, Erie County Medical Center, the Buffalo Public Schools Projects and Ralph Wilson stadium. Since Talia joined the ECIDA full time, her company's main focus has shifted to assisting Minority and women owned businesses with organizational change and obtaining their M/ WBE Certifications. Talia is also the founder and executive director of the The RARE Place, Inc. which assists Veterans, those who are homeless and at risk with life skills and workforce development to transition back into society. She has also worked with local schools assisting students with financial literacy, healthy decision-making and career readiness.
